You are adopting AI tools and workflows, and every decision feels new. We help you set clear principles that keep your AI program fast and on course.
AI is moving quickly, and so are the decisions around it: which tools to adopt, where automation belongs, how much risk to accept. Without a shared reference point, teams debate each choice from scratch and programs drift from their original intent.
What
Our AI Governance offering gives your program a lightweight governance framework: a short, agreed set of principles (sometimes called tenets or guidelines). Principles speed up decision making, because decisions that align more closely with them are usually the better choice. They also anchor direction over time. If stakeholders feel the program has drifted, a check against the principles shows whether it is still on track, and whether to change course or intentionally update the principles.
How
We start with a candidate set of principles drawn from our work with other organizations on their AI adoption journeys and from leading large programs at Amazon Web Services, combined with input from your team. We then facilitate focused working sessions with your program team to test each candidate and converge on a final set. Most programs work well with between five and ten principles.
Deliverables
- A short document of candidate principles, with the case for and against each one for your program
- One or two facilitated one-hour sessions with your program team
- A final set of AI program principles, ready to share with stakeholders
Scope
AI Governance is a short, focused engagement that requires a few hours of your team’s time and typically completes in two to three weeks. It is a natural first step for any significant AI program, and pairs well with Coaching or Org Design as adoption scales.
